Newsletter 2

SNIP-ITS FROM THE PRESIDENT
Wow, we've held our 2nd guild meeting, already. I'm sure everyone had a great time. Dorothy brought a yummy chocolate creation to start out our meeting, and we discussed our fellow member Jean Van Gunten who runs a quilting service out of Tennessee. She has generously offered to quilt our charity quilt for free and will be sending more information on her services.Thank you, Jean. We also talked about ideas on how to use our dues. Here are some of the possibilities:hiring teachers, retreat fees, fabric for exchanges.

We also discussed how we'll make the use of our dues fair for our out of state members. We have a lot of ideas and believe me, we'll keep you all very busy. Dorothy gave us a demo on how to make a binding that doubles as a hanging sleeve. It was very informative and she gave us a handout that is in the mail to our away members.

BLOGGING
My daughter Kimberlee is going to set up our Newsletter as a blog so we can all participate and share pictures, chat and leave comments. I think this is a great way for our out of State members to really feeling close to us and for us to be able to see what they're up to.
